Prosecutors argued that Naveed Haq, was a jihadi terrorist on a mission for martyrdom; the defense countered that the prosecutions case proved their client was insane. In the end, what we’ll term the “jihad made me do it” insanity defense didn’t work and Haq was found guilty of aggravated first-degree murder and seven other counts. Bad, who was adopted by Haqs family, has a deep-seated hatred for Haq. He uses his powers to tarnish Haqs good name. Haq, however, refrains from using his powers to stop Bad until he finds himself cornered by the latter. Who will survive this crucial battle? Well, youll have to wait until the film hits the big screen. The $800000 film, which according to Azmi incorporates subtle Islamic values, also stars Nanu Baharudin, Raja Farah and Fatimah Abu Bakar. HAQ began production in February and is only now in the final stages of post-production as a result of heavy CGI work. Azmi hopes to see her film released to local theaters in the first half of 2010. The film looks decent considering Azmi went into this project with no previous filmmaking experience.
