Network Security Podcast, Episode 178

December 22nd, 2009 admin

A Tonight’s show is a bit longer than usual thanks to a segment with our wayward contributor Zach and an interview with Metasploit founder HD Moore . HD is now also the CSO of Rapid7 , making him quite the busy boy. And, since we can’t help ourselves, Rich and Martin still cover some of this week’s top stories.

Tonight Martin, Rich, and Zach are together to cover the news in a seemingly zonked-out sort of way (busy week for all of us!).  Read More →

Rich is off dealing with the joy of fatherhood (again), leaving Martin and Zach to rope Mike Rothman into the podcast for a few weeks. Our news stories are pretty short tonight, thanks to an interview with the one-and-only Jennifer Granick of the Electronic Frontier Foundation . Martin discusses GPS tracking, the DMCA, and more with Jennifer....

Somehow we’ve managed to get Martin, Rich, and me together on a fairly regular basis. Pretty impressive (superhero-like, even). It seems as though I was full of more beans than usual, taking a few playful jabs at Rich (something about goat smuggling) and Martin (butterfly tattoos, if I recall correctly). While we had a bit of fun, and actually...

You can clearly tell it’s a holiday week in this episode, as we meander our way through an even more random selection of stories than usual. Martin was on the road and Rich manged to not [redacted] up the recording, and we even have a little music. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! (If you are in the US… the rests of you enjoy your non-holiday...

Rich and Zach are still sweltering in their perspective heat waves, but Martin managed to nab an interview with Bob Russo, the head of the PCI Security Standards Council. We also cover a couple of stories and some honest to goodness listener mail! Network Security Podcast, Episode 205, July 13, 2010 Time:  Read More →

Rich and Martin had to do without Rich this week, since he’s on the road doing speaker type things and (hopefully) getting paid for it.  Read More →

This week’s episode was pretty refreshing- rather than covering our usual news stories, we spent most of our time answering some questions from our listeners (that’s you). Please keep ‘em coming folks- we’d much rather try and help you out than blather about unimportant nonsense in our feed readers. Besides, if you ask...

Hopefully the world hasn’t been smashed by an asteroid since Sunday, since that’s when we recorded this show. Martin is off with a client, and Rich and Zach are cramming for Source Boston. Well, Rich is probably half in the bag right now since it’s his birthday, but if he isn’t too hung over he’ll be headed to Boston...

Once again we have a wandering host; Rich has wandered off into the hinterlands of Denver (Boulder, I think) and is too busy to call in for the podcast.  Read More →
