  China's exports jumped more than 45 per cent in February from a year earlier, according to official figures, in a sign of recovering global demand. But many factories in China's southern manufacturing heartland are facing an unusual problem a worsening labour shortage. Many migrant workers are not returning after the lunar new year holiday, while those who have returned are being very choosy. The shortfall has some suggesting that the age of cheap and willing labour may be coming to an end. Al Jazeera's Rob mcbride reports from the city of Dongguan.

  March 10 (Bloomberg) -- Stanley Tsai, a director of Asia Pacific insurance at Fitch Ratings, talks with Bloomberg's Susan Li about the outlook for China's insurance industry. Tsai also discusses China Life Insurance Co.'s performance and outlook. The nations largest insurer said net profit may have climbed more than 200 percent in 2009 compared with the previous year, amending a forecast for 50 percent growth issued on Jan. 28.   China says the US has "seriously damaged" ties after President Barack Obama met the Dalai Lama at the White House. The Tibetan Spiritual leader told reporters after the event, that Obama had been supportive of his efforts to win autonomy for Tibet. In the last two years the issue become increasingly sensitive in China. Al Jazeera's Tony Birtley reports from Beijing.
